LISTEN: An ‘evaluation explainer’ audio

This is a short audio clip I created to support staff who are new to impact measurement and research.
This shares some interviewing techniques for evaluation, as a resource for staff to return to.

Audio is often easier than written guidance when you’re learning something practical. Hearing examples, tone, and pacing can make interviewing feel more natural and less intimidating than reading a list of rules on a page.

A good evaluation is about telling a story.

Sharing your story can be more than just writing.

Evaluation often ends up living in long written reports that are read once, if at all.

For many organisations, that’s not a problem of effort or quality. It’s a problem of format.

Video and audio can make evaluation easier to understand, more engaging, and more likely to be used. They fit naturally with a simplified approach to impact, focusing on clarity, accessibility, and real-world learning rather than technical language or dense documents.
